Walden Velo Hill Climb Championships 2025
Saturday saw us hold the annual hill climb championships, with 20 or so riders tackling Long Lane on a crisp, still morning. In a first for our hill climb we had three riders with identical times!
Well done to everyone who took part, and thank you to our team of marshalls.

Join Our Club
Join us at Walden Velo
Our club is about cycling together and enjoying the company we keep.
If you’re keen on cycling to keep fit, enjoy the countryside on a sunny day riding with a group of friends or interested in racing, then we welcome you to Walden Velo. We’re here to help whatever type of cycling you enjoy. We can advise and encourage anybody who is interested in cycling competitions, and have expertise in a wide range of disciplines.
The cost
The membership fee for the 2023/24 season is £10.
As a member of Walden Velo, you will benefit from:
- Social and safe club training rides
- Help and advice on all aspects of cycling
- You can buy our high tech and stylish Walden Velo club kit
- Rental of our club hard-case bike-boxes
- The opportunity to enter certain British Cycling events
How to join: RiderHQ
We now use RiderHQ to manage our memberships. RiderHQ handle the initial payment and annual renewals. You will have the option of paying via card, bank transfer or direct debit. To join Walden Velo, simply head to our club join page at RiderHQ or click the Join button below.
